One detail that you can leave out of your will

One detail that you can leave out of your will.

Who will look after your Facebook page after you are gone?

Probably not something that you had given a lot of thought to before! A recent story in the Herald talks of a new feature that is being rolled out to American users where you can nominate a legacy contact to run your account or have your Facebook account deleted when you die.

Up until, now Facebook accounts were “memorialized” when someone passed away. Meaning locked so that no one can log in.

Often a Facebook page of a person that has passed away will continue to be a link to memories of the past, receive comments at birthday and anniversaries.

It is interesting that Facebook has become such a large part of society that to me having a legacy user option isn’t such a strange idea.
